Therme Feldbach is a modern thermal spa in the Sudoststeiermark district of southeastern Styria, Austria, where chloride-rich thermal waters discovered during oil exploration drilling in the 1970s gave birth to a wellness complex in one of Austria's most agriculturally rich and undervisited regions. The chloride-rich geothermal waters, which emerge at 56 degrees Celsius from sedimentary formations beneath the Styrian basin, are used for musculoskeletal and cardiovascular balneotherapy in a facility that has become the central wellness hub of southeastern Styria. The surrounding Styrian landscape is famous for Austria's most distinctive food products — pumpkin seed oil (AOC Steirisches Kurbiskernol) in its brilliant dark-green colour, Schilcher rose wine, and cured Styrian meats — making a thermal visit paired with regional gastronomic discovery an authentic immersion in Styrian identity.

Insider tip — Styrian pumpkin seed oil (PDO) is one of Europe's most original culinary specialities — glossy black-green with an intense flavour, it is produced on the farms in the hills around Feldbach.
