Sapareva Banya is a small spa town in Kyustendil Province, southwestern Bulgaria, home to the only natural geyser in Bulgaria — a remarkable geological phenomenon that shoots boiling water at 103°C to heights of several meters from an ancient volcanic thermal source in the town center, creating Bulgaria's most spectacular geothermal display alongside the therapeutic mineral baths developed around the cooled spring waters.
