Rio Quente Resort, adjacent to Caldas Novas in the state of Goiás, is home to one of Brazil's greatest natural wonders — the Rio Quente (hot river), a natural river fed almost entirely by thermal spring waters that maintains temperatures of 37–42°C along its entire navigable length. The complex built around this river includes Hot Park, one of the largest thermal water parks in the world, where guests swim in river channels, pools and attractions all fed by naturally warm bicarbonate-sodium-calcium mineral water. The experience of swimming in a truly hot natural river, surrounded by cerrado forest, is genuinely unlike anything offered at conventional spa facilities. Rio Quente has become one of South America's most iconic family thermal destinations.

Insider tip — Parque das Fontes offers free access to the natural thermal river (the most authentic option). The Hot Park is worth it for children and water slides. Come on a weekday in September for the best balance.
