Zhongshan Sanxiang Hot Spring, in the Sanxiang township of Zhongshan city in Guangdong Province's Pearl River Delta, draws on calcium and chloride thermal waters in the hometown of Sun Yat-sen — the revolutionary leader and founding father of the Republic of China, born in Cuiheng village just kilometres from the hot spring — giving this thermal destination an unusually significant place in the history of modern China and the Chinese republican movement.
