Insider tip — Located near the Chinese-Russian border in Heilongjiang province, these thermal springs rise from geothermal activity associated with the Changbai volcanic belt. Winters here are severe, making the steaming pools particularly inviting against the snow-covered Manchurian forest backdrop.
