Termas Illinizas

Termas Illinizas is a sulfurous hot spring resort near the twin volcanic peaks of the Illinizas — Iliniza Norte and Iliniza Sur — in the Western Cordillera of Ecuador, where the active volcanic geology of the Andes drives geothermally heated mineral waters to the surface at high elevation. The dramatic setting beneath these glacier-capped volcanic peaks gives the hot spring an otherworldly character, with steam rising from the sulfurous pools against a backdrop of Andean highlands and páramo grasslands.
