Terme di Lefkara

Lefkara is a historic mountain village in the Limassol district of Cyprus, set in the Troodos foothills at 750 metres altitude, celebrated since the medieval period for its exquisite handmade lace and silverwork — Leonardo da Vinci is documented to have purchased Lefkara lace for the altar cloth of the Duomo di Milano in 1481. Its bicarbonate spring waters filter through the limestone and ophiolite geology of the Troodos massif, producing a naturally cool and mineral-gentle spring in a village whose white stone houses and labyrinthine lanes are among the best-preserved examples of traditional Cypriot architecture.
