Léčebné Lázně Bohdaneč

Léčebné Lázně Bohdaneč is the only lowland spa town in the Czech Republic, situated in the Pardubice Region of eastern Bohemia, where sulphated thermal mineral waters emerging from the Cretaceous sedimentary basin have supported a therapeutic bathing tradition since the late 19th century. The sulphate-rich mineral composition of Bohdaneč's waters has made the spa a longstanding centre for locomotor and post-operative rehabilitation care, with a medical programme drawing on over a century of documented balneological practice and scientific development. Surrounded by the characteristic flat landscapes of the Elbe plain rather than mountain scenery, Lázně Bohdaneč offers a quieter, medically focused alternative to the famous West Bohemian spa triangle of Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně, and Františkovy Lázně.
