Baños Zuazo Álava Basque

Baños Zuazo Álava Basque is located in Zuazo de Cuartango in the Cuartango Valley of Álava province, in the heart of the Basque Country, Spain — a deeply secluded green mountain valley rimmed by limestone ridges forming part of the northern escarpment of the Cantabrian divide, separating the Basque coastal country from the interior meseta. The sulphated thermal waters emerge from the geological structure of the Cuartango depression, within the broad Basque-Cantabrian Basin that contains some of the thickest Cretaceous sedimentary sequences in all of Europe, and have been enjoyed within a rural Basque thermal tradition rooted in the region's deep connection to nature and well-being. The Cuartango Valley's extraordinary natural beauty, with its beech forests, prehistoric dolmens, Romanesque churches, and medieval villages, provides one of the most historically rich and scenically untouristed settings for thermal bathing in the entire Basque Country.
