Saariselkä Arctic Spa Lapland is a wellness resort in Saariselkä, a fell resort village in the Inari municipality of Finnish Lapland, situated within the Urho Kekkonen National Park — Finland's largest national park, covering 2,550 square kilometres of Arctic wilderness. The sulphated and bicarbonate-rich mineral spring waters provide therapeutic bathing in one of Europe's most extreme and beautiful natural environments, where the Northern Lights illuminate the sky above the treeless fells from September to March and the midnight sun blazes continuously from June to July. Saariselkä's position within the national park provides direct access to reindeer herding country — Sámi communities have managed their reindeer herds across these fells for millennia — as well as snowshoeing, husky safaris, and ice fishing on frozen lakes in winter and berry picking, hiking, and river canoeing in the short summer. The Arctic Spa's combination of Nordic sauna tradition, mineral spring bathing, and the extraordinary natural phenomena of the Arctic light creates one of Scandinavia's most complete and atmospherically unique wellness experiences.
