Thalasso de Golfe du Morbihan - Arzon

Arzon is a peninsula town at the mouth of the Gulf of Morbihan in the Morbihan department of southern Brittany, at the precise point where this inland sea of 42 inhabited islands meets the open Atlantic. The thalassotherapy center draws on the exceptionally iodine-rich tidal waters of the Gulf of Morbihan, a shallow sea whose rapid tidal currents concentrate marine minerals and phytoplankton to among the highest levels found anywhere in Brittany. From Port-Navalo at the tip of the peninsula, boat excursions reach the megalithic island of Gavrinis, home to the finest passage tomb in Europe with spiral Neolithic carvings dating from 3,500 BC, combining 5,500 years of human coastal heritage with world-class marine therapy.
