Termales del Presidente in Gracias, Lempira Department, Honduras, are oligomineral thermal springs in the oldest Spanish colonial town in Central America — Gracias a Dios (Gracias) was briefly the colonial capital of all of Central America in the sixteenth century and retains its cobblestone streets, colonial churches, and the hilltop Fortín de San Cristóbal fortress in a state of remarkable preservation. The springs are integrated into a hotel and spa complex near the historic town centre, providing thermal bathing within one of the most historically significant and architecturally intact colonial urban environments in the region.
