Ilidža — Terme Ilidža

Terme Ilidza is a thermal spa complex in Croatia set in the lush inland landscape of Istria — the triangular peninsula in the northern Adriatic that is Croatia's most gastronomically celebrated region, home to the white Istrian truffle (Tuber magnatum) that rivals the legendary Alba truffle in quality and fragrance. The bicarbonate-rich spring waters emerge from the Istrian karst aquifer, the same geological system responsible for the spectacular Plitvice Lakes and Postojna cave networks, in a landscape of hill-towns, medieval fortresses, and olive groves that UNESCO has recognized for its cultural and agricultural heritage. The record-breaking Istrian truffle of 1.31 kilograms found near Buzet in 1999, the Motovun film festival in its perfectly preserved medieval hilltop town, and the Malvasia and Teran wines of the Istrian hills create a cultural and gastronomic context for the thermal spring that represents the richest terroir experience in Croatia.
