Lječilišna ustanova Topusko is a therapeutic spa in the Banovina region of central Croatia, where bicarbonate-rich thermal waters at up to 75°C emerge in a landscape deeply scarred by the 1991–95 Homeland War but recovering through the development of thermal wellness tourism as an engine of regional reconstruction and economic renewal. The spring complex, developed in the 20th century on foundations dating to Roman exploitation of these Pannonian thermal sources, offers medically supervised rehabilitation programs for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions alongside general wellness bathing. The surrounding Petrinja and Glina region, with its Una River canyon scenery, Rastoke watermill village where rivers converge dramatically through limestone channels, and the Plitvice Lakes corridor just to the southwest, positions Topusko within one of Croatia's most rewarding but least-crowded tourism territories.
