In the village of Angseri, in the highlands of Baturiti in Tabanan regency, the natural hot spring of Air Panas Angseri emerges amid the rice fields, plantations and hills that define central Bali's landscape. Open to the public since 2007, the site turned what was once a traditional bathing spot for locals into a destination welcoming both Balinese and international visitors.

Two pools fed by the spring — one for adults, one for children — along with bamboo-enclosed bathing areas, make up the complex, designed to blend quietly into its natural surroundings. The atmosphere stays cool and green, far from the bustle of southern Bali, making it a favoured stop for a peaceful break in the island's interior.

Insider tip — At Air Panas Angseri, the 37°C water helps soothe joint pain and skin conditions in a natural, soothing setting.
