Vok Baths

Vök Baths near Egilsstaðir in the East Fjords of Iceland is one of the most ingeniously designed geothermal bathing experiences in the world — two large circular wooden pools that appear to float directly on the surface of Lake Urriðavatn, their warm bicarbonate geothermal water maintained at bathing temperature by springs emerging from the lake floor, creating the sensation of bathing in a mountain lake while sitting on its surface in heated water.
