Mývatn Nature Baths

Mývatn Nature Baths (Jarðböðin við Mývatn) in northern Iceland near Lake Mývatn are a large geothermal lagoon complex fed by silica and bicarbonate-rich alkaline water from the North Volcanic Zone's geothermal system, offering milky-turquoise mineral bathing in a landscape of extraordinary volcanic diversity — lava formations, pseudo-craters, nesting ducks, and the solfatara fields of Námaskarð are all within minutes of the baths.
