Terme Vulpacchio belongs to the long spa tradition of Contursi Terme, in the province of Salerno, an area whose hot springs were already described by Pliny the Elder in the first century BC. The current facility, established in 1980 after the Irpinia earthquake, draws salso-bromo-iodine water flowing directly from living rock, long celebrated for its organoleptic qualities and bacteriological purity.
Set within a lush river park, the indoor and outdoor thermal pools form the heart of the complex, alongside a generous spa area. The earliest official chemical-physical analyses date back to 1914, carried out by the Ministry of the Interior's public health laboratories — a rare documented pedigree for a site that stayed under the radar for so long.
