Unlike the more frequented sites in the area, Il Bollore retains an intimate and unspoiled character, drawing mainly those who venture away from the main tourist circuits. The surrounding Mediterranean macchia — kermes oak, mastic, and golden broom — frames the pools in dense, fragrant vegetation. The water's faint sulfurous scent, far from unpleasant, is the authentic signature of a naturally occurring volcanic thermal spring.
