Terme di Agnana

Terme di Agnana is a historic thermal spa in Agnana Calabra, Reggio Calabria province, in the toe of the Italian boot, where sulphurous spring water has been used therapeutically since ancient times in one of Italy's most geologically active regions, situated near the seismically intense Calabrian arc where the African and Eurasian plates actively subduct. The spa, one of Calabria's oldest thermal establishments, draws on sulphurous water of the Calabrian Apennine basement in a landscape dominated by the Aspromonte massif — a wild and rugged mountain of exceptional biodiversity and legendary banditry lore. The combination of ancient thermal tradition, Calabrian cultural heritage, and the extraordinary natural scenery of southern Italy's most remote mountain gives Terme di Agnana a powerfully authentic character.
