Afra Hot Springs is a traditional Jordanian thermal site in the Tafilah Governorate of southern Jordan, where naturally radon-bearing springs emerge in a desert wadi landscape at temperatures between 45°C and 50°C and have been part of a long bathing tradition among local communities for centuries. The springs are accessed through simple gender-segregated bathing pools in an arid mountain valley of striking geological beauty, in keeping with Jordanian cultural custom. The mild natural radioactivity of the radon waters is part of regional thermal tradition, making Afra a notable site within Jordan's well-developed hot spring heritage.
