Kushimoto Onsen

Kushimoto Onsen is a hot spring facility in Kushimoto town at the southernmost tip of Honshu, Japan's main island, in Wakayama Prefecture, where the dramatic Shio-no-Misaki cape juts into the Pacific Ocean and siliceous thermal waters emerge from the Kii Peninsula's ancient granitic geology. The town is famous for the Hashigui-iwa — the Bridge Pillar Rocks — a spectacular series of basalt sea pillars aligned across the ocean, and the nearby Kushimoto Marine Park with Japan's most celebrated coral reefs accessible from the mainland.
