Nomi Onsen

Nomi Onsen serves a small Ishikawa city that occupies the former territory of the Kaga domain — the wealthiest feudal domain in Tokugawa Japan outside the shogunate itself — where centuries of Maeda clan patronage of traditional crafts established an extraordinary concentration of artisanal skills in ceramics, lacquerwork, textiles, and metalwork that continues to define Ishikawa's cultural identity as Japan's most accomplished provincial craft prefecture.
