Kamiichi Onsen Toyama

Kamiichi, in the eastern Toyama Prefecture at the foot of the Tateyama Alpine Route, is the gateway community for the spectacular Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route — Japan's most dramatic mountain crossing — where visitors travel through volcanic landscapes, snow corridor walls reaching 20 metres high in spring, and the high alpine wilderness of the Northern Japanese Alps from April through November.
