Kanazawa Ward Onsen Yokohama

Kanazawa Ward Onsen is a coastal hot spring in the Kanazawa Ward of Yokohama, a southern district famous for Kanazawa-Hakkei — the Eight Views of Kanazawa — a scenic area of ancient pine-covered islands and tidal flats celebrated in Japanese poetry and woodblock prints since the Heian period. The chloride-rich thermal waters are warming and mineral-nourishing, providing restorative thermal bathing in a part of Yokohama that preserves a more traditional and less urbanized coastal character than the city's more famous port-front districts. The nearby Kanazawa-Bunko, established in 1275 as Japan's first public library, and the seaside nature preserve of Kanazawa Marine Park add historical and ecological depth to the ward's considerable character.
