Myoban Yunosato Onsen

Myoban Yunosato Onsen belongs to the storied Myoban district of Beppu, a city on Kyushu island renowned throughout Japan for the extraordinary diversity and volume of its geothermal springs. The Myoban area is particularly known for its tradition of open-air baths and the production of yunohana — crystallised mineral deposits harvested from steam vents — a practice unique to this corner of Oita Prefecture. The carbonated waters rise at 35 °C, producing an effervescent quality that feels gently stimulating against the skin.
