Rawana Hot Springs is a natural sulphurous thermal site in the Ella region of Sri Lanka's Uva Province, traditionally associated with the legendary King Rawana of the Ramayana epic, who is believed in local mythology to have possessed supernatural knowledge of these mountains. The sulphurous water, used for bathing and Ayurvedic treatments, complements the extraordinary scenery of the Ella gap — one of Sri Lanka's most spectacular mountain landscapes.
