Bezaha Spa is a natural oligomineral thermal spring site near the village of Bezaha in the Atsimo-Andrefana Region of southwestern Madagascar, situated in the vicinity of the Beza-Mahafaly Special Reserve — a globally significant protected area preserving the last remnant gallery forests and spiny bush of the south, home to ring-tailed lemurs and the rare Verreaux's sifaka. The springs provide simple therapeutic bathing facilities in one of Madagascar's most remote and ecologically significant regions, where the Mahafaly people maintain strong ancestral traditions (fady) related to natural features including water sources. The combination of hot spring access and proximity to exceptional lemur habitat makes Bezaha a destination of remarkable natural and cultural richness in the little-visited southwest of the world's fourth-largest island.

Insider tip — Bezaha Spa occupies an arid corner of southwestern Madagascar near the Onilahy River, a landscape of spiny forest and sandstone cliffs that contrasts sharply with the lush highland springs elsewhere on the island. The thermal water, mild and lightly mineralized, is channeled into landscaped pools with views of the surrounding dry savanna. The site caters to travelers on the Route du Sud between Toliara and Ihosy.
