Linzin Hot Spring is a natural bicarbonate-rich geothermal site in Myanmar, associated with the Sagaing Fault — one of the world's most active strike-slip faults, running the full length of Myanmar and producing regular earthquakes and geothermal activity along its trace. The springs, embedded in the Burmese landscape along the fault zone, are used by local communities for bathing and therapeutic purposes within Myanmar's traditional medicine heritage. The Sagaing Fault's extraordinary geological importance as the boundary between the Indian and Eurasian plates in mainland Southeast Asia gives Myanmar's geothermal springs a particularly vivid tectonic context.
