Aïn al-Rustaq is the principal thermal spring of Rustaq in Oman's Al Batinah South Governorate, where bicarbonate-rich hot water at over 40°C emerges beneath the ancient Rustaq Fort — one of the most historically important fortresses in the Sultanate of Oman. The spring has supplied the fort's traditional falaj irrigation channel and communal baths for over a thousand years, making it one of Arabia's most historically integrated thermal sites. The combination of living thermal tradition and the spectacular setting of Rustaq Fort against the backdrop of the Hajar Mountains creates an incomparably rich Omani heritage experience.

Insider tip — Allow at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the bicarbonate waters of Rustaq.
