Opened in October 2015 right outside Takaosanguchi Station, this facility marked railway operator Keio's first foray into hot springs, run in partnership with the Gokuraku-yu chain. Water drawn from roughly 1,000 meters underground feeds a large stone outdoor bath, alongside a hinoki cypress tub and a carbonated outdoor pool designed with hikers descending Mount Takao in mind.
Classified as a simple alkaline spring, the water emerges at a mild temperature and is notable for its faintly whitish clarity. The complex plays on the contrast between wood, stone, and steam, with architecture that echoes traditional bathhouses while staying distinctly contemporary, just steps from the trailheads.
