Ju'an Wenquan Yuchang

Ju'an Wenquan Yuchang—Ju'an Hot Spring Bathing Establishment—in China participates in the ancient Chinese wenquan (hot spring) culture, one of the world's oldest and most sophisticated thermal bathing traditions, where natural thermal spring water has been valued for therapeutic, ceremonial, and recreational purposes since at least the Qin dynasty, when the imperial court at Lintong established the first documented imperial thermal bath complex that was later elaborated by the Tang Emperor Xuanzong into the famous Huaqing Chi (Huaqing Pool) still visited today as a historical site.
