Baños Termales de Puye

Perched above 4,300 meters in the Yanque district, in the heart of the Colca Valley, the waters of Puye emerge naturally from the ground and are channeled into three oval pools built from stone, mud and straw using techniques inspired by pre-Inca construction. Surrounded by hundreds of pre-Inca agricultural terraces recognized as Peruvian cultural heritage, the setting blends seamlessly with cultivated fields and the banks of the Colca River, with no walls or fences separating the pools from the landscape.

The waters, rich in potassium, iron, lithium and sodium, feed several pools with distinct atmospheres, run on an eco-friendly principle that taps geothermal energy without disturbing the surroundings. Open at any hour, the setting offers a moment of calm deep in the Andean countryside, between mountains and terraced valley.
