Spa Beira Serra is situated in Manteigas, a historic wool-weaving village in the glacially carved Zêzere valley on the slopes of Serra da Estrela — the highest mountain range in mainland Portugal, reaching 1,993 metres at Torre and home to the country's only ski resort.
