Slănic Moldova

Slănic Moldova is a historic mineral spring spa town in Bacău County in northeastern Romania (the historic region of Moldova), where chloride-sodium-bicarbonate mineral waters of exceptional chemical diversity — the springs range from still to naturally carbonated and from mildly saline to highly concentrated — have made this one of Romania's most medically prestigious spa towns since its formal establishment in the mid-19th century and its 20th-century development into one of Eastern Europe's major balneological destinations.
