Balçova Terme Agamemnon is a historic thermal spa in the Balçova district of İzmir, Turkey's third-largest city, where chloride-rich thermal springs known as Agamemnon's Baths since antiquity were according to legend used by the Greek commander Agamemnon to treat his wounded soldiers before the Trojan War — a mythological attribution reflecting the springs' very ancient therapeutic use. The naturally warm chloride mineral waters, which emerge at the foot of Mount Kadifekale (Pagos) overlooking İzmir Bay, have been continuously used therapeutically from Hellenistic through Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Republican Turkish periods.
