Amoropii Hot Springs is a natural thermal site in the Karamoja sub-region of northeastern Uganda, where chloride-rich hot water emerges from the ancient Precambrian basement of the Karamoja plateau in a landscape inhabited by the semi-nomadic Karamojong people. The springs, used by local communities for bathing and therapeutic purposes, are part of Uganda's broader East African Rift Valley geothermal system. The remote, wild character of the Karamoja region — with its vast savannahs, traditional Karamojong culture, and wildlife-rich landscapes — gives Amoropii an authentically off-grid East African hot springs character.
