Hot Springs Cove BC Tofino

Hot Springs Cove BC Tofino is the only natural hot spring on Vancouver Island, accessible exclusively by water taxi or floatplane from Tofino — a celebrated surf town on the wild Pacific Rim coast of British Columbia — or by a 12-kilometre round-trip hiking trail through the rainforests of Maquinna Marine Provincial Park on the Hesquiaht Peninsula. The chloride-rich geothermal water, warmed to 50°C at its source by deep geological heat, cascades through a series of natural rock pools carved into the coastal rock shelf above the Pacific Ocean, where at high tide the pools are dramatically washed by cold ocean waves that mix with the thermal water to create a uniquely dynamic bathing experience.
