Fish Lake Valley Hot Well is a developed geothermal well in the Fish Lake Valley of Esmeralda County, Nevada, drilled to tap the geothermal aquifer of the Basin and Range province and fitted with a concrete soaking tub fed by hot water continuously pumped from depth. The site, managed by the Bureau of Land Management and available free of charge, is particularly popular with campers and overlanders crossing the remote Great Basin between Highway 395 and the Nevada desert. The Fish Lake Valley's extraordinary remoteness — surrounded by mountains with no towns for many miles — and the dark sky stargazing above the desert floor make this a quintessential Nevada desert hot spring experience.
