Remington Hot Springs

Remington Hot Springs is a popular primitive natural hot spring on the South Fork of the Kern River in Kern County, California, within the Sequoia National Forest, where sulphurous water at around 38°C flows into hand-built rock-and-concrete soaking pools at the river's edge accessible by a short hike. The site, on Bureau of Land Management land with free public access, is a favourite of backpackers and kayakers on the South Fork Kern River, a wild and protected waterway in the Sierra Nevada. The surrounding Kern River canyon, with its rare endemic wildlife, federally protected wild river corridor, and dramatic granite scenery, provides an outstanding Sierra Nevada setting.
