Kênh Gà Hot Spring in Ninh Bình province, northern Vietnam, is a natural geothermal site where chloride-rich thermal water emerges directly from the cliff faces of the Bai Dinh limestone massif into the Hoang Long river, creating the unusual phenomenon of hot spring water bubbling from underwater rock faces accessible by boat. The springs are accessible by rowing boat through a network of limestone caves and river channels in the Hoa Lu valley, part of the 'Inland Ha Long Bay' landscape of Ninh Bình — one of Vietnam's most dramatic regions of limestone karst scenery. The surrounding Ninh Bình landscape, encompassing the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, the Trang An World Heritage Site, and the remarkable Bai Dinh Buddhist temple complex, provides an exceptionally culturally and naturally rich Vietnamese setting.
