Dam Rong Hot Spring (Lam Dong)

Dam Rong Hot Spring in Lam Dong province of Vietnam's Central Highlands is a natural sulphurous geothermal site in the highland plateau zone east of Dalat, where hot spring water surfaces from the volcanic basement in a landscape dominated by the distinctive K'Ho and Cil indigenous minority communities with their traditional coffee cultivation and animist spiritual traditions. The spring, in a heavily forested plateau landscape at around 1,000 metres elevation, offers a cool-climate highland hot spring experience distinct from Vietnam's tropical lowland thermal sites. The surrounding Lam Dong province, centred on the charming French colonial resort city of Dalat with its dramatic waterfalls, pine forests, and flower gardens, provides an exceptionally scenic Central Highlands context.
