Binh Chau Hot Spring BRVT

Binh Chau Hot Spring is located in the coastal commune of Bình Châu in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province, southern Vietnam, the only naturally occurring hot spring area in the coastal lowlands of the region, where sulphated thermal waters emerge from geothermal sources at temperatures ranging from 37°C to 82°C in a landscape of coastal forest and cashew plantations near the South China Sea. The sulphate-rich mineral composition of Binh Chau's springs carries properties valued in Vietnamese and regional Asian therapeutic tradition for skin conditions, musculoskeletal wellness, and the cardiovascular stimulation associated with high-temperature thermal immersion, with some of the hotter vent waters famously used for cooking eggs and local vegetables as a natural curiosity. Adjacent to the Binh Chau-Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve, one of the last remaining coastal lowland forests in southern Vietnam, these hot springs form a unique natural area where geothermal activity and tropical biodiversity create a distinctive landscape within the coastal plain of Vietnam's far south.
