Yomase Onsen

Yomase Onsen is a hot spring resort in the Yomase area of Yamanouchi Town, Shimotakai County, Nagano Prefecture, part of the greater Shiga Kogen highland resort zone that encompasses one of the largest ski areas in Asia and one of the most celebrated snow monkey viewing sites in Japan. Yamanouchi Town is home to the famous Jigokudani Monkey Park where wild Japanese macaques bathe in natural hot spring pools, one of the most iconic wildlife viewing experiences in Japan and an internationally recognized symbol of Japanese winter nature tourism.
