The Tahta Baths are a historic Ottoman hammam in the Yakutiye district of Erzurum, eastern Turkey's imposing fortress city at over 1,800 metres altitude on the high Anatolian plateau near the borders with Georgia and Armenia. The Tahta Baths stand alongside Erzurum's great Çifte Minareli Medrese and other medieval monuments as part of a city that has been a major administrative and military centre since the Byzantine and Urartian periods.
