The Aphrodisias Theater Baths are ancient Roman bathing facilities associated with the famous city of Aphrodisias in Karacasu District, Aydın Province in southwestern Turkey, a site inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2017 for its exceptional state of preservation and its magnificent ancient sculpture. Aphrodisias was one of the foremost cities of Roman Asia, renowned throughout the empire for its school of sculpture and its marble workshops, and its theater baths provided the hygienic facilities expected by visitors to the city's major entertainment venue. These baths are part of the comprehensive Roman urban infrastructure that has been systematically excavated at Aphrodisias since the 1960s.

Insider tip — Baths of the theater of Aphrodisias (Aydın, UNESCO 2017). These baths adjoin the monumental theater (12,000 seats) of Aphrodisias, city of the goddess Aphrodite and a great center of marble sculpture in the Roman Empire. The Aphrodisias workshop supplied sculptures for the whole empire. The theater baths (2nd c. AD) complement the already-known Baths of Hadrian at this exceptional site.
