The Baths of Lütfi Paşa are an Ottoman hammam in the Fatih district of European Istanbul, endowed by Lütfi Paşa, who served as grand vizier of the Ottoman Empire under Suleiman the Magnificent from 1539 to 1541 and was also the husband of Suleiman's sister Shah Sultan. Lütfi Paşa was a soldier-statesman and author who left behind an important political treatise, and his charitable endowments included architectural works in Istanbul and elsewhere. The hammam in Fatih formed part of his legacy of pious foundation in the historic heart of the imperial capital.
