The Sarıköy Baths are a historic hammam with naturally calcareous mineral water in Gönen District of Balıkesir Province in northwestern Turkey, near the famous Gönen hot springs that have been one of the most celebrated thermal destinations in the Marmara region since Ottoman times. The calcareous mineral water of Sarıköy, rich in calcium bicarbonate, deposits the characteristic white travertine on bathing surfaces and is appreciated for the softness it leaves on the skin, complementing the area's broader geothermal heritage. Gönen's thermal tradition is rooted in the same geothermal activity of the North Anatolian Fault zone that produces the hot springs of Bursa and the Marmara coast, and the Sarıköy Baths represent one of the smaller but locally valued bathing facilities in a district with an exceptionally rich mineral water heritage.
