The Ottoman Baths of Foka

The Ottoman Baths of Foka are a historic hammam in the coastal settlement of Foka in northern Greece, reflecting the Ottoman presence in the Macedonian and Aegean hinterland during the centuries of imperial administration. Built as a public bathing facility to serve the town's mixed communities, the hammam followed the classic layout of provincial Ottoman baths with stone-vaulted chambers and wood-fired hypocaust heating.
