The Baños árabes del Albaicín, also known as the Baños de la Calle Agua, are the largest surviving Arab hammam in Granada, Spain, and one of only three preserved bath complexes in the city alongside El Bañuelo and the Hernando de Zafra baths, located in the historic Albaicín quarter that UNESCO inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 1994. The Albaicín, the ancient Moorish residential quarter climbing the hillside facing the Alhambra, preserves the most complete medieval urban fabric of Nasrid Granada, and these baths formed the essential hygienic hub of a densely populated neighborhood of craftsmen, merchants, and scholars. Their scale and quality reflect the importance of communal bathing as a cornerstone of daily life in the final Muslim kingdom of the Iberian Peninsula.
